Empowering Rural Women Through Tailoring & Self-Reliance
Financial dependence often limits choices for women in rural households. Skill development programs tailored to local market demand offer a direct route to self-reliance.
Through YADLIK's women empowerment initiative, a 3-month tailoring and garment construction course was organized in partnership with local trainers.
The program covered basic machine operation, fabric cutting, stitching, and financial bookkeeping. Graduates formed a small collective to take stitching orders from local schools and markets.
βEarning my first income through stitching gave me independence and dignity within my family.β
Key Outcome
15 women trained in vocational tailoring with ongoing micro-enterprise guidance.
